ToolKit Slate respects your privacy. We collect as little information as we can while keeping the website running.
Tool data
Many tools are designed to run in your browser. Text you paste into tools such as the Word Counter, Case Converter, Regex Tester, Markdown Previewer, and Text Diff Checker should be processed on your device when the tool is built that way. We don’t want private drafts, passwords, or work documents stored on our servers. Files you drop onto a tool are read by your browser and are not uploaded.
Passwords
Passwords created by the Password Generator should be generated in the browser. We do not ask you to save them on this website. Use a password manager for real accounts.
Preferences
If you choose light or dark mode, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage so it is remembered next time. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, device type, browser type, and general usage. This helps us fix broken pages and improve tool pages. Google Analytics never receives the text you type into a tool.
Advertising
We use Google Ads to advertise ToolKit Slate and to measure whether those ads lead to visits and contact messages. We also show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, but only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Otherwise the ads you see are not personalized. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Cookies
Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google AdSense set cookies only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, they may still send Google basic, cookieless measurements (such as a page view) without identifying you. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser.
Contact
Messages sent with the contact form are delivered to us by EmailJS, an email service, and include the name, email address, and message you enter. We use them only to reply. If you have a privacy question, contact us at hello@toolkitslate.com.
